The Atmosphere

Topic Description

Upon completion of this module, you should be able to know the gases that compose the Earth’s atmosphere and know the layers of the atmosphere. The Earth’s atmosphere is a blanket of air that protects all forms of life from extreme changes in heat. Air is a homogenous mixture of gases. It is composed of 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, and 1 % other gases. These other gases include argon, carbon dioxide, neon, helium, and hydrogen.
